Your stomach has opinions and it is not shy about sharing them. One second you are sitting in complete silence and the next your gut decides to perform a full acoustic set for everyone in the room. No warning. No apology. Just noise.
Science will tell you it is gas moving through your digestive tract or your body signaling hunger. Sure. Fine. Technically accurate. But that explanation completely misses the real reason your stomach starts making a scene first thing in the morning.
It is protesting the absence of coffee.
Think about it. The moment that first cup hits the system everything calms down. The internal chaos settles. The complaints stop. Your body goes from performing a one-man show to quietly getting on with its day. Coffee is basically the manager that walks into a chaotic office and gets everyone to sit back down and do their jobs.
Your stomach is not broken. It is just caffeinated poorly. Or not caffeinated at all which is honestly worse.
There is something almost beautiful about how much your body communicates before coffee arrives. Grumpy. Loud. Dramatic. Completely unreasonable. And then one cup later it is calm, focused, and ready to cooperate. The transformation is quick and nobody talks about it enough.

Roaster/Cafe Notes:
Aggudo Coffee Roasters (https://aggudoroasters.com/ )
Calgary
In their own words: “At AGGÜDO Coffee Roasters founded in 2018, we believe that every bean tells a story—a journey of culture, passion, and flavor that begins in the highlands of Ethiopia and continues here in Calgary, Canada.
AGGÜDO means "harmony" in Tigrinya, a concept that inspires everything we do. Founded by an Eritrean immigrant with a deep love for coffee and its rich traditions, our mission is to share the magic of Ethiopian coffee culture with the world. Ethiopia is not just the birthplace of coffee—it’s where coffee ceremonies are a daily ritual, connecting family, friends, and communities over the aroma of freshly roasted beans
When we arrived in Calgary, we brought our heritage and a dream of sharing the unparalleled flavours of Ethiopian coffee. Starting from humble beginnings, AGGÜDO Coffee Roasters was built on hard work, resilience, and an unshakable commitment to quality. Today, we’re proud to roast our beans locally, blending Ethiopian traditions with modern techniques to create exceptional coffee for our community.
Coffee is more than a drink—it’s an experience. That’s why we carefully source premium, sustainably grown beans, focusing on direct relationships with Ethiopian farmers who nurture the land and their crops. We roast in small batches to preserve the unique flavors and aromas of each origin, ensuring that every cup embodies the richness of Ethiopian terroir.”
